THE 22ND ANNUAL CAPS TRAINING CONFERENCE The 22nd Annual CAPS Training Conference, May 1-3, 2008 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Ventura, California. Last year's Training Conference in Redondo Beach was an outstanding success and we hope to build on that momentum with this year's conference program. The theme this year is, "Pretrial Issues In A Changing World". If you sense a trend here you are right. Last year we focused on the Pretrial Services Professional in the 21st century, this year we are focusing on utilizing these professional skills in dealing with the various issues emerging in a changing pretrial environment.

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE	$100 CAPS Members $130 Non-members $25 per non registered guest attending luncheon.
SCHOLARSHIPS	Two (2) Scholarships are available for CAPS members; they include CONFERENCE REGISTRATION, AND ONE NIGHT'S LODGING AT THE HOTEL. The scholarships are allocated to one member from Southern California and one member from Northern California. To apply, please submit a letter stating why you would like to be the scholarship recipient and how you would benefit from the experience. Please include information about your position, your title, and how long you have worked in pretrial services. Preference will be given to those applicants attending their first training conference.
